Hi, I'm Mark.

I create. I paint. I write. I build brands, websites, and ideas.

Everything I do is at the heart of the convergence of art and strategy. I never do things just for the sake of doing and I never do anything half-heartedly.  I like to sit right where creative intuition meets practical execution. And I especially love helping others to do the same. Whether it’s a canvas, a logo, a website, a photoshoot, or a full-on written story, I’m here to make meaningful things that connect with empathy to real humans (and look good doing it).

I'm an artist.

but I’m also a techie. I love the blend of art and technology, the way storytelling and learning intersect. Creating work that tells a story and serves a function is where I thrive. And still, there’s nothing like pulling out the brushes, laying down a fresh canvas, and trying to capture a moment in time and space that holds feeling, depth, presence, and (of course) color.

I'm a writer.

I’ve been writing since I was a kid!  Mostly poems, little observations, fragments of thoughts I didn’t know where else to put. I don’t write every day, and I don’t force it but when the words come, I let them flow!  Sometimes it's just my way of processing. Sometimes I have a burst of inspiration. Sometimes it's just for me. I have a collection of my original thoughts and poems here that dates back over 20 years, to 2005 when I was just 17 years old – I leave them here for future me to explore. Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s clear. Most of the time, it’s somewhere in between.

I'm a creator.

I make stuff. Visual things, digital things, things that help people feel something or learn something. Sometimes that looks like a custom designed website or a logo. Sometimes it’s a video. Sometimes is a funky and fun photoshoot. Sometimes it’s just a really good idea that makes something complicated feel simple!

I’ve spent years building websites, designing brands, taking photos, editing videos, and making sure everything works together – not just visually, but emotionally and strategically, too.

I like making things that are useful. I like making things that feel good to look at. And I like helping people tell their stories in a way that actually connects – however that may be!
