You are going down…
You are going down…like a fat lady down a greased fire pole.
So sorry I haven’t posted barely anything recently. Things have been extremely hectic! We got back from Lexington the other day for my Dads very first radiation treatment. Which we now know, that he is going to have to have every single day, starting Monday, for the next 6 weeks! So, yea, I might be a little slow in updating. But don’t worry.
Lets see, I finished another painting tonight in art class. This is a complete original and straight from my imagination. So you can, well…imagine…how bad it is. I definitely won’t have it up for a while, considering I will be gone.
Speaking of art, I got my letter from the . I didn’t make it. So I won’t be going to art school this year, and I won’t be going to Ireland. But, it’s all good..I can try again next year, richtig?
I think I am getting addicted to looking at things on eBay, first I wanted an electric guitar but then the bid went to high, then I got set on a BlackBerry, until I decided the plans would be super expensive. So now I am set on getting a cellular phone. I know NOTHING about them, nothing…I didn’t even know how to turn one on until about the middle of February. This is the one I want,
but I am still looking. I want to get a very nice phone, with very nice features. Any suggestions , ideas, or help would be appreciated greatly! Just leave a comment.
This huge festival in Pikeville, the next city over, is having a huge festival, which they have every year…and are famous for. Its called Hillbilly days. A friend or two of mine are coming up from the capital, Frankfort….and I want to at least try Ichthus Music Festival View the list of artists here It is the longest running Christian music festival ever, and one of the largest in the nation. It is known for its rain and mud, actually. Every year, without fail, it has rained or thunder stormed. Last year, the storm became so incredible, they shut down the roads…because vehicles were literally sinking into mud. The grounds were covered with 2 inches to 2 feet of mud, at least. It really was like Woodstock, minus the drugs, sex, and vulgarity. People were parking their cars and camping out, playing guitar, and walking around. We finally got extremely close to the ground by sneakily following a police that was trying to get to the end of traffic. We just pretended like we were with him. And once we got there, we had to walk across a large field. There was security turning a bunch of people away, because there was a huge mud put, that people had sunk into up to their chests.
My dad said ,”We aren’t stopping”
and some freak kid yells,
“That’s it! REBELLION! START A REVOLUTION! WOOT WOOT”
It w as hilarious! We did go one, saw the mud pit, with a huge jeep sunk into it. We literally knocked down trees and made a bridge over the creek, we walked through chest high grass, and we cut holes in barbed wire fence and snuck through the back of Ichthus, without tickets! We had already pre-ordered tickets, so we just had to go back to the front to put them on, don’t worry, we didn’t steal.
Something divine, did happen at Ichthus tho, during the last day…while extreme worship and commune was going on, the rain completely stopped and the sky was cloudless, for the rest of the night!
Even meteorologists were dumbfounded by this, and you can actually see metrologist speaking about this, and showing a video about it if you go to the Ichthus web site and scroll down to where you see they are talking about the storm. I think it is the last post on that page.
Ah, the memories. I hope people comment on this. *hint hint * Remind me if I ever forget to post anything, or if you visit and there are no new posts…;)
Don’t forget to continually pray for my dad and our family!
