Response to “Malevolent God Theory” etc…

I wrote a response to this post on Xanga., the ‘Malevolent God Theory’

It’s quite long so click “more” to read it all.

Please read Genesis 3
http://biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=1&chapter=3&version=31

So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

To the woman he said,
“I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.

It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.

By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

Death, disease, and suffering did not occur before there was “sin.” Sin brought these things, into the world, through Adam and Eve. In Genesis, Adam and Eve and all the animals were vegetarians (Genesis 1:29–30) and there was no death or disease. God pronounced his Creation “very good.” It was perfect. Then Adam and Eve sinned by eating the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 3:6) thus introducing death and disease into the universe for the first time.

If it looks designed, it is designed. Really now, how are intelligent design theorists going to determine if something is designed or not? You can’t just look at something and tell if it is designed. This is where she still finds Behe valuable. In Darwin’s Black Box, Behe explains the concept of “irreducible complexity” using the example of a mousetrap. A standard mousetrap is irreducibly complex because it will only catch mice if it has a board, a spring, a trigger and so forth. If any part is missing, it will catch no mice. The existence of irreducible complexity in organisms similarly points to an intelligent designer. Behe offers examples of several irreducibly complex biological systems such as the biochemistry of sight and the operation of the bacterial flagellum which must have the existence and coordinated action of many different proteins and other molecules or they will fail.

God made a perfect world in which Adam and Eve were the moral equivalent of immortal and bulletproof; however, it is now flawed due to Adam’s sin. You look at a piece of creation and think,
“That looks evil.” Did it start out evil? Was that its function when a good and all-powerful God created it? Objects invented for good purposes are regularly co-opted and used for evil purposes.

Sin has broken this world, including all of nature.

‘To illustrate evil in nature, Georigia Purdom offers the example of the nature documentary showing an idyllic scene of a ‘zebra grazing peacefully, and then a tiger leaps out and bites its head off.’ The problem with ID (Intelligent Design) theory, as Purdom sees it, is that it implies that God is the author of evil unless you have Biblical understanding of how evil came into the universe through Adam’s fall. ID (Intelligent Design) is flawed because it lacks “the Bible as a foundation and framework.'”

God created man perfect, and God is god…he makes all things new, perfect, and good. You think you can create a better human? Fine, then do it.

God’s standards are NOT impossible. The only thing we are required to do is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 16:29-31
The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

John 12:44
Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.

John 6:35
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

God loves us so much, that he sent His only Son to die for us. Sin ruled the earth before Jesus came, the only way to get into heaven was to be perfect, without sin, and to constantly sacrifice lambs to God. You cannot get to heaven unless you are perfect.

So who was perfect? The answer, no one-but the Unblemished Lamb.
So God had to send his son, the only perfect one.

Philippians 2:6-11
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Now that the ultimate sacrifice had been made, the incredible perfect had become ugly, and died for us…the scum of the earth. We are made new by accepting God’s gift, and we are made perfect. God keeps NO record of wrongs.
It is incredibly simple and clear to get into heaven, as I have previously mentioned. Every sin you have committed or ever will commit has been forgiven, it just needs to be accepted. You will not be held accountable for your sins in heaven!

    Wow, thanks. My layout works in Firefox on my computer… but … I don’t know. Anywho, amazing. It’s very depressing how some people go out of their way to mock “intelligent design”. Thank you for that, though. A very good defense. God is amazing. It’s sad how few people are amazed by him, though.
